Hi stranger!
Léo Marçal here. Born Leonardo Marçal. And also known as Magrila. Or even LM.
At this point, you may be asking yourself why so many names and nicknames, right?
I explain: against all the odds, there are so much more "Leo Marçal" in the world than my parents could have imagined when they chose my name. And I don't know why, in one way or another, they are always crossing my path.
It's like a Leo Marçal-Verse.
There is this Leo Marçal "hot name of Rio's nightlife", which occasionally people confuse with me, asking me for tickets or even interviews. Like that time, when during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Ryan Lochte pretended that he was kidnapped when he was actually at one of Leo's parties.
This other one here is a YouTuber and some kind of travel sommelier.
There is also this Leo Marçal, which judging by the number of lawsuits, is not very well-liked by the people.
And believe me: there is even a namesake that works as a copywriter too. (Although I have been around for longer 🤷🏽♂️)

Now you know some of my homonyms, it's time to introduce myself and prove that I'm the Leo Marçal you are looking for.
Since I was a child, I've been curious about a lot of things, so I've always loved observing and understanding the functioning of these things.
I believe that - from a "gambiarra" to a product campaign - creating is about solving problems. Problems which, as I'm still curious and observant, I love to help identify and solve.
I've been working in the advertising industry for the past 15 years, and during this time, I've worked with a lot of talented people in some cool agencies, where I had my work recognized by significant international publications and awarding bodies like Cannes Lions, D&AD, Effie and Brazilian Creative Club.
In the middle of 2019, seeking new models of working (and life), I decided to become independent. For two years, I focused on some personal stuff (like finishing a novel about a guy who becomes immortal) and freelanced not just for agencies but also directly with companies, mainly startups.
At the beginning of 2022, I moved to Germany to work as a senior creative for Saatchi & Saatchi and found another passion besides creating and walking: running. But maybe this is a subject for a coffee.
I hope you like my work, and in case of wanting to know more about me, drop me a line on my e-mail or reach me on Linkedin.
